REMAP

REMAP is a national charitable organisation engaged in the design and provision of specialised technical aids for disabled people. This is achieved through an army of over 2000 volunteers, members of a nation-wide network of more than 100 'panels' .......the nature of disability is so complex and the problems remaining so numerous that there are inevitably huge gaps in provision. Often equipment, even if available, does not match the capabilities of a particular person and manufacturers will not, or cannot, tackle the modification which may be necessary. However, it is here that REMAP can play a vitally useful role by focusing the engineering and inventive skills of its members on to the specific equipment problems of individual disabled people."
